Dr. Jerica Collins (Dr. J) is originally from Baton Rouge, LA and attended undergraduate school at Southeastern Louisiana University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science.
During her sports days, she thrived as a basketball and track and field student-athlete. In 2012, Jerica suffered a career-altering knee injury that removed her from participating in both sports. She did not let the injury deter her, and because of her motivation, perseverance, and strong desire to help others she pursued a Doctorate in Chiropractic.
Since then, Jerica has continued to pursue her education so that she can impact the lives of others by serving her community and to aid in injury prevention. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, as well as a Corrective Exercise Specialist. In 2020 she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Functional Nutrition from Parker University. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree in April 2021 from Parker University, and graduated Salutatorian and Magna Cum Laude.
In a run of several applicants, she was selected to complete her Chiropractic internship at the North Dallas Veteran’s Affairs Hospital, where she was able to pursue her passion to help those who have served our country.
Jerica has years of experience treating athletes of all ages, moms with a host of daily tasks, and our weekend warriors that love a good challenge!
In addition to the adjustment, she utilizes sports rehabilitation and soft tissue techniques to best treat her patients. She earned her certification in Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) and Integrative Dry Needling (IDN). Jerica also uses cupping therapy and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) to best treat her patients.
Jerica married her husband, Caleb Collins, in February 2022. In her spare time, Jerica loves to workout, binge Netflix, and enjoy amazing food! She is a huge foodie and believes that life is about balance. Maintaining physical and mental health are two very important aspects to her. She aims to serve in helping you maintain the physical aspect.
